Yellow Dog Linux 4.1

Yellow Dog Linux 4.1, the "most polished Yellow Dog to date," has been released. The feature list includes support for the latest PowerBooks, easy dual-head configuration, and more. It is available immediately from YDL.net, CDs will ship by the end of January, and public mirrors will have it two weeks after that.

penguinppc.org is the home of the PowerPC GNU/Linux project, the native port of GNU/Linux to the PowerPC processor. The site is is run and maintained by volunteers from the community. PowerPC GNU/Linux runs natively on PCI-based Apple Power Macintosh, many IBM and Motorola PReP and CHRP workstations, IBM pSeries and iSeries servers, Amiga Power-UP systems, and many embedded platforms that utilize the Motorola/Freescale and IBM/AMCC embedded PowerPC processors. The kernel supports multiple processors (SMP), which works on some Power Macintosh models and IBM servers.
